How gemandles started
Hi, my name is Sophia and here is our story how Gemandles was created.
It begins a long time ago. My daddy collects crystals and gemstones. He also sells them at Jewelry and Rock shows.
Over the years when he would get a delivery of new crystals and rocks, I would rip open the box and take one of the rocks to tease my daddy.
He would take me to the rock shows that he exhibited at and that's where I learned the different crystals and gemstones.
One day one of the other venders had their two daughters helping them at the show. They were about my age. I noticed they were selling pens that had little tiny crystal at the top of the pen barrel.
This inspired me to want to come up with my own idea to sell at the rock shows with daddy.
Daddy and I came up with some ideas but all of a sudden it hit me. We need to make candles with crystals and gemstones in them.
Daddy thought it was a great idea, but he expressed concern that it has been done before and that the only way to stand out from the competition was to create a brandable name.
It took us five minutes to create a catchy name. We took the "C" off of candles and put "Gem" for gemstones in place of the "C" and put it together.
Gemandles was born.
